Essential oil and hydrolate

From the processing of lavender comes our essential oil and hydrolate.
Extracted from lavender, these are all-natural products that wink at health and the environment.

Essential oil is a compound obtained from the flowering tops of lavender, which is used in the external treatment of various conditions; it also finds use in aromatherapy, where it is renowned for its calming and relaxing properties.

Obtained by distillation, it appears as a colorless, or pale-yellow or greenish liquid, with a typical smell and bitter taste, and offers different benefits to the care of our body due to its properties and beneficial effects:

  • Antimicrobial properties
  • Sedative properties
  • Anti-inflammatory and pain-relieving properties
  • Effects on the gastrointestinal tract

Given its many properties, the uses of lavender essential oil turn out to be many, from aromatherapy to supplementation (with dilution and following appropriate directions), for insect bites, acne, dandruff, etc.
There are several cosmetic products containing lavender essential oil, also, it is used in some cases as a flavoring for desserts in cooking (NB: in cooking it is used only in some cases as a flavoring, but should NOT be used for cooking).

Hydrolate

Lavender hydrolate is an effective soothing agent suitable especially for those with very sensitive skin, so much so that it is also used on children.

Derived from the process of steam distillation of lavender flowers, it generally has a soothing function on the skin and can be used in its pure state or enriched with other natural ingredients specific to our skin, such as essential oils, other floral waters and plant extracts.

Just like lavender essential oil, its hydrolate also has relaxing aromatherapeutic properties for the mind and spirit, providing benefits to our health (soothing, relaxing, invigorating, antiseptic, decongestant).

It can be used as a facial tonic, refreshing face-body water or soothing "after-sun" water, up to application on face masks or with decongestant compresses.

Lavender essential oil and lavender hydrolate are available at our facility, produced directly from lavender harvested in our fields.
